Chadwick Hill

Bob took Joshua, Abigail, and I to Chadwick Hill. This was our longest and hardest hike... and the island. You ca see this hill from Whatmough Bay. And conversely, in one of these photos at the top of the hill, you can see Chadwick Bay... it's way down there. This was another one of those hikes where I was paranoid the kids were going to fall off the side of the cliff. At the top of the hill there was also a rope swing, and below it a very, very steep hill. I thought the kids would fall off that as well. And also at the top was a rock circle. Sometimes, Bob said, you can find coins underneath the rocks. Joshua found 11 cents and we left a rock of our own from Agate Beach that was in my pocket right in the middle of the circle.

There is a huge eagle up in this tree. You can kind of see it's tail feathers and head. This was not a bald eagle, although we did see a bunch of those. And not a turkey vulture. We saw a lot of those too. I'm not sure what kind of eagle it was, but it looked like it was at least as long as Kaleb - maybe somewhere between as long as Kaleb and Lukas.
